Journey of reentry to normal life

This bucolic and peaceful looking scene is the view from our motorhome on the last stop of our wonderful 3 weeks ‘ up north’. The photo shows the tranquility of the countryside that we love so much and reflects, in a toned down way, some of what we’ve experienced in the beautiful far north of Scotland. What you can’t tell from the photo is that there is a background accompaniment of perpetual noise from the A1. This sums up our situation perfectly: we’re half way home and halfway between the tranquil splendour of northern Scotland and the busyness of our normal lives back home 10 miles west of Oxford.
