Fife and the Firth of Tay

Spend the night in Tayport, a historic harbour town, on the southern edge of the Firth of Tay - a peaceful spot with large vistas across the firth and to Tentsmuir Forest to the east.

My meetings finally over I returned to Edinburgh by train. This was the view of Fife as we travelled across the Firth of Tay on the Tay Bridge. The expanse of sea, sky and hills reminding me of how lucky we are in Scotland to have such large open spaces to enjoy and invigorate our soul.
