O'Man ther' a rare band in't they

Having a few days hard earned rest in Glasgow. I'm like a kid in a sweet shop. It's visual overload and my camera is taking a tanking. Glasgow hosts the World Pipe Band Championship this coming weekend so there are bands practising and performing all round the city. A stroll through any park will introduce you to bands from all over the world banging their drums and blowing into their bagpipes. This is The Royal Army Pipe Band of Oman entertaining the crowds in St. Enoch Square and the crowds were certainly enthralled. We were lapping it up too of course. I had been heading to a well known second hand camera shop to offload some old gear. £4000 worth of no longer useful digital gear that I reckoned I would get a few hundred quid for. Not a chance. They didn't even want to look at it! "Naw, that stuffs too old son. Ah've nae chance a sellin' that!". The digital age is moving faster than I thought. Everybody wants only the most up to date gear. So much for the recession.
