Something to sing about

In Edinburgh for a meeting today and the city was at its festival best. I looked in at the Book Festival in Charlotte Square which was a real delight, so lovely to see that people still get excited about books (I have a kindle, but there's never going to be a kindle festival, is there?)

On the Mound I was drawn to the harmonies of these boys from Soweto. Reminded me of Zambia choirs...

The Fringe is on too, so I wandered down the Royal Mile where all was whacky and wonderful. Coffee at the Dovecot Tapestry studios and a quick visit to the exhibition 'Follow the Thread'.

I needn't have rushed, though. The driver of the Lockerbie train is working to rule. So after a long wait with lots of disgruntled passengers, I'm now on a replacement bus. Ho hum..
