Marjorie's ramblings

Mum's favourite

The cowslip was Mum's favourite wildflower. Every year I have tried to go to Gunnerton Crags to see the cowslips growing on the side of the crags.

This morning I continued to work on the cupboard where Mum kept many of her embroidery and painting materials. (Not the whole lot, but a large quantity.) I made good progress while Peter tuned the piano. He told me that he is very busy at the moment, which is good news.

I'm hoping that my sore wrist will soon improve so that I can play again.

This afternoon I had the planned 'phone consultation with a physio about said hand. He went through the story in detail and then offered me an appointment in late June to be seen face to face. I managed to negotiate an appointment in 3 weeks time in Haltwhistle.

Then I went to Gunnerton. It was still beautifully sunny and the wildflowers were lovely. I sat on the hillside amongst the primroses, violets, crosswort and cowslips. A willow warbler serenaded me.
