Mono Monday; steps…

When I saw that the theme for MonoMonday was steps I decided to take a slightly different route into town to avoid the steps I pass every day. My goodness I’d forgotten how many steps there are in town! I may do a series of steps when I’m stuck for what to take a pic of.

And new week, new resolution. I’ve decided to stop spending so much money in cafes; specifically on iced latte and Sanpellegrino which leads me to my saying of the day which is ‘Take care of the pennies and the pounds will take care of themselves’.

This expression is said to be the creation of Englishman William Lowndes (1652-1724), a secretary of the royal treasury, although his original statement differs slightly: "Take care of the pence, for the pounds will take care of themselves."
