Marjorie's ramblings

Entertaining the visitors

I popped into Hexham at lunchtime for a haircut. There were lots of people enjoying the sunshine. This young lady and her companion on accordion were busking for those of us who walked along Fore Street. They played very well but were quite shy. Just ahead of me, the living legend of a folk musician who is Mike Tickell, father of Kathryn, contributed to their pot. They were thrilled!

They also consented to me taking photos without missing a note. (I wish the buskers would not stand outside Boots where the window lettering is distracting.)

At home preparing for Lake District walking tomorrow.
