And So We Nearly Made It To The Pinnacles

Woke up on my first study-free day feeling somewhat seedy (but probably better than expected) thanks to last night's shenanigans.

With no firm plans for the day, we made a last minute decision to hire a car and drive up to the Pinnacles. We had a vague idea they were about three hours away, and figured that'd give us time to get back to the airport in seven hours.

Valuable lessons learnt today:
- Australia is a bloody big country
- Maps are useful
- Just 'heading north' isn't necessarily going to get you where you want to go

Anyway, as you can see, we didn't quite get there. Drove almost 500km today, and didn't actually get where we wanted to go! Bummer. Oh well, it was a nice day for a drive, and the scenery along the way wasn't bad.

Back home now. It's very late, but with no tute to get up for in the morning, I'm not in any hurry to sleep.

Proper day off tomorrow. Won't know what to do with myself!

Have backblipped the last few days.
