An early morning visitor

When I woke this morning I was surprised to find this little fella on the shade of my bedside lamp. I grabbed my camera and tooks some shots but none of them were too good due to the poor light atm in our bedroom. The scaffolding and the need to keep the curtains closed (due to passing painters) block out a great deal of the morning sun that usually streams in. I should, of course, have been able to compensate (photographically speaking) but it was very quite early!
We popped him onto a piece of paper and carried him outside where I took a couple of shots before he said thank you and disappeared into the rose bush.
