Sunset

Been a bit useless at blipping today, luckily the sunset was cooperative.

Last shift working with boss I at the foodbank today as she's retiring at the end of the month.  It won't be the last time I see her as we have a meal out also at the end of the month and hopefully we be continuing with a 'ladies who lunch' group full of volunteers and former volunteers.  Also met her replacement C who seems like a lovely chap and will be a good pair of hands for the foodbank to continue in. 

It was a busy day at the foodbank today, with lots of people in really difficult circumstances.  Some people walking over 5 miles to come for a parcel, some people who seemed way to young to be homeless, some people on the street, some people being moved from hotel room to hotel room and you just feel like there has to be a better way of helping people in these situations.  Didn't help that Reform were canvassing in the street afterwards too.  Gave me serious distopian vibes.  The woman looked quite taken aback when I told her 'absolutley not' when she tried to hand me a leaflet.  Hoped that wouldn't be an uncommon reaction in the central belt.  Bit of a political day actually as we had a brief visit from some SNP MSPs too this morning, which was a bit of a surprise to find after I'd just nipped out to the cash machine.

Spent the afternoon at the climbing wall with P, it was very empty due to the ongoing glorius weather.  Feel Like I'm making progress with my climbing and topped my first 4 today, after topping a 3 which I'd been wussing out of before which felt really good.  Went home and watched Conclave after seeing everyone on the internet saying how good it was in light of recent events.  Actually was surprisingly gripping.  Bit of a stacked cast too.  Though I'll admit to enjoying Andor more which has been my favourite thing on TV in a long while.
