in the woods

I felt energised this morning so washing on the line, pilates then a nice long canal walk out off the house by 10 am. I looked at the bluebells and saw this deer. He just stood there looking at me. I didn't dare move or he would have run off. I did quietly leave the woods as the bluebells are over.
I walked along the canal and saw a flash of turquoise, it was the kingfisher. It moved so fast from tree to tree then over the canal and down the fields. No chance of getting a shot.
The walk was lovely I did find a couple of places to sit down and stopped at the horse box cafe for a cup of tea before the last stretch home. I walked over 5 miles. I was exhausted but didn't sleep this afternoon.
