First Dragonfly of the Year

After doing some washing and hanging it out and getting some shopping in town, I drove over to Natural Surroundings to have a look round the gardens. Spring is truly bursting out all over. I saw my first dragonflies, damselflies, a hornet, lots more flowers, the bees were so busy around the bee hotels and the birds were singing their hearts out. It was already hot in the sun. My main photo is a four spotted chaser, and I've added a collage of a Moroccan poppy, a blue tit leaving one of the boxes, a whitethroat and a bee on the green alkanet. This afternoon I sat out reading the paper until it got too hot. I also watered the pots and borders out the back.
