A Thorny Subject

Our new neighbour very kindly washed our bedding this morning (we suspect there is a leak in the piping to/from the machine) and with the lovely sunny day it was ideal weather for drying.


I took advantage of the weather to do a load of weeding between the paving slabs. 
When that was done I went to check on the drying .... and found a pillow case had been 'bombed' by a bird.
SWMBO was not happy and having to take remedial action.

Todays picture and the other 12 were taken when I cut back the 'Oregon Grape (the berries are the clue to the name) and some wayward Berberis shoots. I am glad that only one of them had the aphids.

Mid afternoon we had a wander over to see Bags and Co.
When we got home I thought SWMBO was going to blow a gasket ..... There had been another bombing run - over a sheet this time.
