I'm a little disappointed - I have a ticket to Steven Wilson's concert in Bristol tonight, but sadly given my current cough I really can't go.  It just wouldn't be fair to whoever had the misfortune to be sitting anywhere near me.  I'd been looking forward to it and revising his extensive back catalogue.  Ah well, next time perhaps.

There's always a risk buying tickets in advance, and over the years there have been a number of gigs that I've had to miss.  The first time it happened was a Rush gig in the late 70's.  That one definitely hurt the most,  not least when my flatmates then bumped into the band the next day in the Holiday Inn, as they delighted in telling me on my sick bed.  :-)
