Purple

This weather is just wonderful - and at last the seating area of out garden has come out of hibernation. We’re gradually getting the house and garden back in order - though I must admit, G is doing most of the work.

We have a friend over for lunch, then our usual ‘fizz Friday’ FaceTime call with friends, before the monthly exhibition opening in Ffin y Parc gallery in Llandudno. I do enjoy these - a welcome glass of wine or fizz, a wander round  the paintings and usually a chance to talk to the featured artists. One of the artists is Anna Davies whose work is highly original - and I must admit to thinking it rather odd when I first saw the catalogue. But looking at her work in the gallery, it becomes quite fascinating with a haunting beauty of its own. I even consider buying one - and still might!

Photography is restricted to the garden - which seems to be going through a bit of a purple patch at the moment! I’m tempted to blip my now wonderfully blousy mauve tulips. I can’t believe how well they’ve lasted in this weather. Such a bargain buy from B&Q! But I’ve blipped them at least twice before so I’ve relegated them to extras. My main instead is the gorgeous purple clematis that’s just come into flower - much loved by these tiny marmalade hoverflies!
