My topsy-turvy life

A lovely, relaxed day off for Louisa's birthday (take 2) was so nice and just what the doctor ordered. We'd originally planned a day at Alton Towers but for various reasons decided to stay a bit closer to home. We had a mooch around some of the shops in town before finding our way to Caffè Mondi on Wyle Cop for coffee and cheesecake. We meandered to Left for Dead and had a chat with the owner about music and book recommendations and visited various vintage and artisan shops before getting to The Parade for a lunch stop.

We found Bobby's yesterday but it was closed so we came back today for El Pescado tacos and -too many even for me- potatoes accompanied by a birthday shot of tequila. Shrewsbury has so many of these eclectic restaurants now, we just don't have time to visit them all. After all of that (and a couple of photos) we walked back to the car through the Quarry, stopping at Gelatistry for ice cream on the way.
