My Girls

I nearly always get my daughter and three granddaughters a ticket for the ballet as part of their Christmas present.
Tonight we used them to go see Mathew Bourne’s Swan Lake.
Even though l’ve seen this version quite a few times it’s still my favourite ballet. Only Kitty hadn’t seen it before, so we were very excited for her.
Extra exciting was that one of Ruby’s best friends was dancing on stage having joined the tour last September . So Maisie has stayed at my daughter’s house all week and enjoyed some home comforts. Rebecca has driven into Bradford every night to collect her after her performance and tonight was no different so it was good to talk to her about all the backstage gossip. She is the loveliest of girls and is really talented, we all predict big things for her.
She has a few more dates in the U.K. tour before the world tour starts. Interesting that the US has been taken off the agenda because of the current political climate and attitudes there.
