VE Day celebrations with MYO

Car into the garage for 8 am. So B and I met up for a lovely walk; starting at Mill Green, then Blackmore for a coffee and cake, before finishing along the St Peter's Way on a circular route.  We clocked up 12.8k so that will be my 10k for this week. Never having been to Mill Green or Blackmore we determined to return later in the summer with our paints for an en-plenair. 

VE Day and the evening we went to the Prom where we met up with C and A, for an open-air concert by MYO. There was also an outdoor cinema viewing of the VE Day with Princess Elizabeth and Margaret - unrealistic,  but good fun. Then some officials read very moving extracts, before the close, where a bonfire was lit; as it had been 80 years ago to the day. A good show organised by the council.
