Local birdlife

we had lunch out today then went for a walk along a nearby river and canal. The river was fuller than I'd seen it before and attracting quite a few birds including several egrets, herons and jays.  At one time there were 4 egrets sitting in one tree when a heron flew in to join them. Extras are of more egrets and a jay. The sky started to llok stormy as we reached back home but luckily the rain held off.
