An ordinary life....

A special visitor...

Or two :-)

Our American blip pal P is in Scotland for three weeks and will be joining us next Wednesday for her last week.  We have adventures planned :-)

She's currently staying in Dundee and we had planned a trip to Glamis Castle with her today but that has been postponed and instead she came here for lunch and a relaxing afternoon after her very busy holiday so far!
But she wasn't alone.  She had with her, her travelling companion, the esteemed Lord Henry MacMouse, First Earl of Cheesboro no less!  He joined us in the garden for lunch and was made Guard of the Olives. Can you see him? There's a close up in extras showing him in all his finery.  So handsome!  Also a pic of P and me, wearing one of her wonderful gifts - a scarf depicting murder mystery objects inspired by the murdery mystery evening we attended last year.  Thank you P, I love it and all our other gifts.  An extra special one will be blipped soon :-))

We enjoyed lunch in the sunshine, then came inside for tea and cake.  Despite lots of possible topics of conversation, we seemed to return to the Orange Idiot again and again.  I think we all needed to get our thoughts off our chests and now when Patricia returns on Wednesday we won't have to spare him a second of our time.

D ran P back to her hotel and I crocheted some more of Alfie's pram blanket.  We now have a date for Baby Alfie and his big brother and mum and dad to visit at the end of the month, so need to get this blanket finished!

PS I should perhaps mention the spots on the wall behind P and me are the sun reflecting off the mirror ball that's been hanging in the garden room since my and D's 50th birthday celebration eight years ago!  LOL!
