Pruned

It's been a much less eventful day! The big thing was catching a glimpse of gardeners downstairs pruning the flame tree. I was horrified and wanted to open the window and tell them not to be too severe, but I could see that they were doing it for the good of the tree. I'm so glad I blipped it a few days ago, so you can see that they have removed the branches/twigs in the middle, which were probably taking away resources.

Later, I met with Diane and we enjoyed a coffee and chat at the Bur Juman branch of Costa. A scaled-down branch, I should say. They are under renovation and plan to re-open at the end of the month.

There were so many things I wanted to do in the evening, but in the end, I watched an On-Demand movie about Johnny Cash and then a Nat Geo series on Lost Tapes of the Nazis. Some of the things being said sounded remarkably similar to things we hear coming out of the White House!
