Goodbye Oregon, Hello California!
The day came in sunny for a moment, then in blew the fog from the ocean, right up the little canyon that shelters the campground. We already had our beachwalk and blueberries, so off we went, hoping for the sky to clear up down the road. Although we've had great luck finding available camping space, today was another story, so that ended our time in Oregon and suddenly we are in the deep redwood groves of northern California. We are settled in a private campground that is far more luxurious than anything we usually choose: we are sitting in big comfortable lounge chairs on our private deck overlooking a lily pond, the host brought us an armload of complimentry firewood for the firepit, and the hot water is plentiful.
