A day of tidying up after yesterday's celebrations. Orla and Luca came to play at tea time. Toby was a little rascal and wound Luca up saying that he was older than him. Luca got really cross and Toby could see the effect he was having and was just running round the edge of the trampoline grinning from ear to ear. Still so cheeky!

We finally managed to light a sky lantern for Henry tonight - something we have tried to do at big family celebrations in memory of him. We had hoped to set a few off on Saturday night before the christening with our friends there but it was far too windy. Anyway it was finally still enough tonight and we watched the sky lantern drift away into the darkness and then come down still lit and then just stop in mid air :0/ Mr EG went charging off after it - it was several fields away by this point - and every field in between had a herd of cows in it who got spooked and started to stampede! It seemed to take forever for him to come back but fortunately he did! The lantern had got stuck in a tree whilst it was still lit! Luckily we had rain and Mr EG managed to hook it out and put it out. But I suspect that will be the last time we do one. The one we did on his birthday two years ago was just perfect - we should just remember that and not try to recreate it.
