Last Day

It was a very different morning. We were up, himself had, had a run, I had stretched with Adrienne. We had showered, dressed, and had breakfast before 9.15am. By 10 am, we left the house. It was a very different morning to the last 5. Mostly, the kids didn't get up until after 10 am.

We visited Alnwick, enjoyed Barter Books, and headed to Boulmer for lunch at the Fishing Boat Inn. A gorgeous wee bar with a deck overlooking the sea. The beach was more rustic, and today, it appeared to be full of dead animals. We spotted a dead sandwich tern bird, a dead large crab, and an even bigger dead seal had been washed up!

On the way home, we stopped at our favourite beach and finished the day in style with an ice cream.

Once back at the cottage, we did what you should do at the end of all holidays, we booked another one! Perfect!
