Perranuthnoe to Prussia Cove & more RANTINGS!!!
Did another 'I Walk Cornwall' walk this morning. Perranuthnoe to Prussia Cove along the coast path and then back through the fields. It was a lovely 4 mile walk in warm weather and we saw so many beautiful flowers along the way. However, there was one scarey moment when we had to climb over a stile into a field full of cows and one of them was standing right in our way. (See extras). Ann had to shoo her away before I would even attempt to go over the stile. Honestly I'm such a little wuzz sometimes. Actually, Ann wouldn't even have attempted to walk through the field if they'd been bulls, but fortunately they weren't, so we managed to cross the whole field without them bothering us.

Don't you just HATE, HATE, HATE, utility companies/insurance companies (who once they've reeled you in with some cheap offer) provide absolutely NO proper customer service?.........
Yesterday my human spent almost an hour on the phone to 'TalkTalk' trying to cancel our wifi contract for our Edinburgh flat which ends on 10th June. Eventually she managed to do it, but today she's had two emails which she's obviously just deleted saying how sorry they are that we're leaving and asking what they can do to make her stay? Obviously there is no option to reply to these emails so she can't even tell them that their customer service is c***
Then.............. she got an email from 'Direct Line' (who we have building/house contents ins with, for our flat in Edinburgh, & everything is done online anyway) telling us that they were aware that we had moved because the mail that they sent us, had been returned. WHY? Ann can only assume that is because her friend popped into the flat, redirected her mail and for some reason it wasn't re-directed but got returned to Direct Line. So then she had to spend another 44 mins on the phone trying to explain to some 'thick call centre worker, that only works off a script', that no, we haven't actually moved, so the address is still the same. Not actually convinced if these details have been saved, but heyho, does it actually matter if all the info is being sent through via email anyway. Obviously 'thick call centre worker' had absolutely no idea if letters that had been sent out from Direct Line, and then had been redirected to another address, were being interseped by the PO and returned to Direct Line???
…..........And the worrying thing is.................. when Ann's friend popped into our Edinburgh flat last week to check on it, and send on our mail, we had three letters from EDF (probably just bills which we pay online anyway) but they've not arrived either, so no doubt we'll have a few more worrying emails popping up in the next week or so.
It wouldn't be so bad if you could actually reply to the emails that you get; but you can't............. And then you go onto the website, which always claims that everything can be done online, but it obv can't because that is why you're phoning. So you phone and wait in a queue to speak to a real live person and that generally takes between 20-30 mins.
…............And then you get through to a 'real live person', in some call centre in India, who calls you 'M'am' and asks you if you're having a nice day'. Grrrrrrr........................... Who cares what sort of day my human is having??? Just stop the chitchat and sort out the problem................
…...........Oh and if anyone is interested in our ongoing EDF problem in our Edinburgh flat................. After almost 5 months it's still ongoing and we still don't have a solution. It's now with the 'Energy Ombusman' and has been for the last 6 weeks. Apparently it's in the 'investigation stage', but my human only knows that because she went onto the 'portal' and had a look??!!
….............Oh and my human still has to cancel her TALKTALK wifi in our St Ives home within the next week and find another provider. ….....Anyone got any ideas? We're thinking, 'NOW' or 'VODAFONE'? Anyone got any experience of either of these two or have any other suggestions???
….........Sorry for the ranty Blip.................. My human is totally stressed out with all 'utility' problems that she's had to deal with today. Actually, so am I. Just look how flaked I am, (see extras).
