Brambles blipmeet

The highlight of today was a blipmeet with fellow blipper ‘litl’ this morning. I met her at the Co-op at Chapel Stile, where she had come on the bus, and we popped upstairs to Brambles café for a pot of tea and a cup of coffee and a good old chat.

We then went for a walk together up to the old quarry, serenaded by glorious birdsong, but in quite overcast and chilly weather. I grabbed this shot with my phone to show Smithers on my return, because he loves rhododendrons. We parted company at Elterwater Village, where she headed for the bus stop and I headed back to Smithers.

This afternoon I took myself out for another walk on the common, and you can see in extras some of the locals I encountered. By this evening all the clouds had cleared away, the sun was shining and the sky was a beautiful blue, which bodes well for our last day here tomorrow, when the forecast is for wall to wall sunshine.
