Pulsatilla vulgaris

Seed heads in the sun. Not sure if they are shiny enough for today though.
It has been a pottering day today. Brought the ironing up to date. Haven't done any gardening today. Done a bit of editing on the computer while listening to the radio, and then lunch time the end of the BBC coverage of the Service at the Abbey for VE day 80.

Listening to Classic FM special programme of music and peoples memories of VE Day. I was born in '46. But remember my parents telling
me of their time. For the most of the war my Dad who worked at Vauxhall Motors was helping to build Churchill tanks, and Bedford trucks. He was in the Home Guard before finally being called up into the R.E.M.E. and served in India and Hong Kong before coming home in the February of 1947.
