A Special Day ....

... and a Special Year.  8th May 1945.  I was just approaching my 3rd birthday so I didn't care (and nor do I have any recollection of anything special happening) - but special it was.
My Blip is of the relevant page in my 'Chronicle of Britain and Ireland'.  It made interesting reading.
