Highters Heath School Fun Day

This morning was all geared around being ready for when Lisa, Harry and James came to pick me and Eva up at 11.30 am. May sound like we had loads of time, but we were actually just about ready in time. Eva did wake for a feed early doors, as she has been, but then slept til 8.15 and had another sleep 10 til 11 am, and we still had to fit breakfast, feeds, wash, my shower and seeing to the kittens, Nala and Sophie. Bless Mike, he had done everything else.
I do wonder how on earth we're ever going to get to stay and play for 10 am when it starts on 12th September lol.

I absolutely love our morning feeds together in bed, they're one of my favourite times. They don't just consist of the feeds, they mean I get loads of snuggles with my baby girl, we sing lots of songs including Row Your Boat and Wind The Bobbin up every morning, we do lots of giggles and tickling, and sometimes I get a book and read Eva a little story. I will always cherish our mornings, that's why I'm happy not be up out early doors doing stuff cos it would mean losing that.

Anyway, off we set at 11.30 to the fun day at Highters Heath School. We got there, got Eva all snuggled in her pushchair (today's pic), paid our £1.50 in, got some free Bookstart books, had a little walk round, started to look at some animals that were there including a chinchilla, Pygmy hedgehog, a leopard gecko, a tortoise, some snakes, a giant snail and some tarantulas, when the heavens opened. We had literally been there 10 minutes. Luckily the animals we under a gazebo, so we stayed dry, but the organisers started frantically putting everything away as there was a bouncy castle, sandpit and a few other things not great to be left out in pouring rain. So that was short lived, so much for our afternoon at the fun day and all my rushing in the morning lol. So we decided to walk over to Maccy Ds for lunch and a natter in the dry. I think everyone else had the same idea as it was rammed in there, but we found a table and had a good old chinwag over a Big Mac Meal.

We got back and Eva was so tired by then. I gave her a feed, but she was asleep within minutes, so I carried her into her bed and she had a good hours sleep.
Her new curtains arrived for her bedroom while she was asleep, from the Jools Oliver Little Bird range to match all the bedding I've got in readiness for when she goes into her own room. Not that I want that day to come, I'd be quite happy her sleeping in our room til she's at least 1. I just feel better knowing she's right there.

Spent some more time this afternoon with Eva singing songs whilst playing them on the iPad with the actions and animations. She loves doing that (and so do I, I'm not gonna lie lol)

Mike did tea tonight and I was trying to keep Eva up so she would eat with us, but she was just too tired again. So I have her her bath and settled her down to bed. Really need to get a bit more organised with this BLW at tea time, we're obviously going to have to try and eat earlier. Not that she's eating anything yet still, so that's why I'm not too concerned at the moment, but I will have to when she does.
