Rothko non-fans

These two ladies at the Fondation Maeght really weren't interested in the Rothko that was part of the exhibition “Adventures of truth” - Painting and philosophy. A fair summation of big bullshit as ever I have heard. There were a few pieces that shone (Matisse, Picasso) but for the main part the pieces were being co-opted into the 'philosophical' argument of the show.

Not cheap either, but at least we got away with parking in a coach-only space that carried a 50€ fine.

Went afterwards to St Paul de Vence, a glorified themed tourist shopping experience that left me wondering about the value of continued human existence..
