Snow wall Alpine route

Up early with a small rucksack as had sent the bags forward to Kyoto. Got bus which to us to the start of the alpine route. Next it was a electric bus up the mountain to the Kuobe dam, great views over the dam from the viewing area. Next transport was a fenicular up into the snow covered mountains. It was busy at times as golden week so lots of local tourists. Next transport was a mile on a cable car which was packed to the gunnerls!!. We then arrived at Murodo the highest point where the snow wall road is. A bit over cast to see everything but a great experience. Back on the bus through the snow wall before get the train to Toyama. Then a shinkansen to Tsuruga then the thunderbird to Kyoto. Thankfully luggage was at the hotel, a quick look around the area with some food before bed.
