Rough Green Snake

My husband spotted this little guy while we were walking Zoe this evening. It was lying on the road, but I think it thought it was camouflaged in the grass because it stayed put the whole time we were there, including the time it took to run back to the house for my camera, even with Zoe nearby. It let me get super close for a portrait.
