Archie and Ruby

I mentioned on Sunday that my friends’ dog Archie had died. Unbelievably I got a message at lunch time to say that Ruby, his litter mate, had died this morning. As you can imagine they are heartbroken. They were born on my 50th birthday so were over 12, so a good age but still a massive shock to lose them both in 48 hours.

Debbie and I have just had long chat on the phone - shed a few tears - the dogs were very much Tim’s and their loss has triggered a lot of memories and grief.

The photo was taken in a garden near work , at lunch time when I went out to try and clear my head after hearing of Ruby’s passing.

I have to say it is a rather stunning tulip and the sun was shining, and it did make me smile so it did its job.
