Blipping blippers
Yesterday's blip featured beaver dams, up in the hills. Today's blip features the beaver's most common sign, well chewed trees, as photographed by HarlingDarling for her blip.
These beavers are not away in the distant hills. I am standing on one of the most popular foot and cycle paths in Härnösand, and the main N-S highway in Sweden runs about 150 m away. The water in the background is where the Gideå river meets the sea. The water here is deep enough that the beavers don't need a dam.
The small white flowers in the picture, and in the extra, are Anemone nemorosa, the wood anemone, or in Swedish Vitsippan.
