Nuts from Senegal
Last night I had two lessons which tired me out. Trying to explain the complicated English past tense to French English novices is not always easy to put across. I did trip up once.
My second student of the evening had been to Senegal on holiday and before she went she promised to bring back some nuts. I asked her what she wanted from the UK and she said some shortbread.
In the end I bought a packet of shortbread for each of my 5 students.
It was very kind of her to bring back these nuts for us, cashews, peanuts and praliné ones too.
