Ghost Train

I must have waited nearly half an hour on Minehead station so that I could video this steam train setting off. It chugged three times, let off all its steam in the brakes and moved three feet. It tried again but still no luck!

I think the brakes had stuck on further down the train. Everyone had to get off and get onto the train on the next platform which unfortunately wasn’t steam.

It was a shame for those who had paid good money to ride on the steam strain cos it ain’t cheap but you have to bear in mind all the workers are volunteers and unfortunately things like this happen.

I retreated back to the car and drove up to the old harbour part of town and had my lunch overlooking the Bristol Channel.

Went back to our house and met up with Sal who had been on one of her favourite walks, an annual trip down memory lane for her :-)
