The First Peony

Another gorgeous day here in western Oregon! I played golf with the ladies’ league this morning, and then did a lot of gardening stuff. One of my neighbors, Mike, who is an avid gardener, is in Italy with his family right now. He asked me to water his tomato and pepper starts (under lights in his garage) as well as his raised veggie bed, next to mine. So I watered all of my plants and his, and got caught up with several neighbors on this gorgeous afternoon.

He also told me to pick the peonies in his garden. Being one of my favorite flowers, I didn’t hesitate! I don’t have a spot to grow these beauties so I am very grateful!
