It's not a Mexican holiday
Cinco de Mayo, the fifth of May.
Is when General Ignacio Zaragoza defeated the French at the Battle of Puebla in 1862 and yet the US seems to celebrate it more than Mexicans. There are some celebrations in Puebla itself.
In the US, there are street parties, festivals and celebrations of Mexican heritage.
Given the current incumbents attitude toward Mexico and Mexicans, it makes you think, doesn't it.
I will celebrate by moving Taco Tuesday to Mexican Monday.
