Up and away

Backblip and a phone pic as I managed to leave my camera in the tent!
The reason we went to the Kendal area was to run a half marathon from Staveley (actually 14miles).
Great day for running, lots of sunshine, not too hot and a cold breeze to cool you down (though not so good in your face when going uphill!).
There was a lot of climbing, people's devices have recorded anythng from 516 - 851m, mine being near the lower end. Some pretty rough terrain in places but that gave good excuses to walk and admire the scenery and get some pics. The main is an unexpected tarn up on the moor.
I wasn't last but there was a quicker VW70 - when I saw her beforehand I guessed she would be in my age group and quicker than me.
The extras are coming down toward Longsleddale and the view back toward the pass we came over from there to get to Kentmere - somewhere about that dip on the horizon - at about 11miles.
Fish and chips for supper and a lazy evening
