Water Under The Bridge

But with no rain worth speaking of for the last couple of weeks, and none forecast for the immediate future, I do wonder if we might see the River Kent running dry in places over the next couple of weeks! It’s certainly the lowest I’ve seen it for many years.
A more relaxed day today. A decent session in the gym this morning and then we decided to have a short walk into town for a coffee this afternoon. We had planned on a much longer walk today but a combination of getting up late and Mrs C not feeling too clever this morning means that excursion will have to be postponed until later in the week.
I don’t know how much job satisfaction the flood defence workers have at the moment. They must surely question why they are building high walls everywhere when it’s possible to cross from one side of the river to the other, at this moment in time, with nothing more technical than a pair of wellingtons!
