For the record only.

       I doubt if even Alice's fine memory would remember/answer the question  -  "When did we start recycling?"
Apparently - "1. Eden's door-to-door recycling collection started in 2010."  SO - disregarding which month; that nearest tatty item is 15 years old.  At that rate they maybe haven't done too badly. 
      Kinda begs the question  - Since they don't accept SOFT Plastic what'll they do with their old ones?
