Matilda’s View
Cloudy and cool today and not a particularly good night for either of us, so a quiet morning was had. GP highlights for Mr HB followed by the start of the VE-Day Anniversary celebrations for both of us and what a wonderful coverage it was. I was one and a few months old on that day, Mr HB was two and a half. My father came home when I was 2 but Mr HB’s father never came home as he was killed in the Monte Cassino Campaign in Italy. So a very poignant anniversary for him.
We popped back home this afternoon, welcomed the painters and did a little food shop. Once back at our camp site I got Mr HB settled and then called in on my friend B who lives just up the road and had a cuppa with her and lots of natter.
After very dark skies this morning the sun has just come out and it looks like it’s going to be a lovely evening. I’ve just heard a cuckoo.
