MARSH HARRIER AND CRANE

All my photos today were long shots with dodgy focus but I was still happy to get the subjects. I spent some time watching this female marsh harrier causing consternation among the smaller birds over the water today. I liked this one with the crane and the 'stalks' for the wind turbines in the background (about two miles away, despite the apparent proximity). Another pic of her gliding about as an extra. And then on the way home I spotted some more little fluffballs. Second extra is a lapwing chick, really difficult for me (or any predator) to focus on especially at a distance.
