N T Charlecote Park

This morning it was the Brails three hills walk, a charity walk of 6.3 miles over the hills that surround the village. Quite a bit of the walk is over permitted land so can only be done on the walk
I have done it a few years ago it is quite strenuous but beautiful views, I think around 300 did it this year
It meant the recreation ground was very busy but I walked down to the shop for some milk and we had a locally made Berger. It was all over by lunch time
This afternoon we decided to go to Charlecote as it isn’t far away, we thought we haven’t been there but when we got there we recognised it immediately but it must have been a long time ago
As we went it we saw this wonderful wisteria in full flower and its scent was lovely
The house tour was fully booked but we had a lovely walk around the park
I have included a map of the Brails walk as an extra
The day started very cold only just above freezing with a strong north wind. Not pleasant but the sun came out this afternoon and the wind dropped a bit so much nicer. We will have a little gathering on the field this evening and home tomorrow
