Today my head of department, Suzi, had her maternity leaving doo. It was a full-on 80’s Power Ballad Lounge/Queen Vic send off.

Suzi positioned herself behind the theatre bar, enjoying acting the part of the landlady. Her favourite drinks and nibbles to serve were, in true 80's form – an ‘Angie Watts’ (Vodka and Tonic in a short wine glass), a ‘Sybil Colbie’ (a drop of fine Cava) and, if you were feeling really adventurous, you could enjoy a bag of Scampi Fries – a delightful fishy treat!

Most people didn't do the whole dressing-up thing but Amanda, who'd had the day off, went the whole hog with her Toyah Willcox inspired get-up!
