Prom Praise
I got up early and before everyone else to go for a swim up at Lee Valley. It was great to swim round and round with 3 friends and I was back home by 9.30 so I wasn’t missed. :-)
Gardened and did food until our 3 visitors this afternoon turned up. So good to see them and to show them our new house. They’ve had such a tough time recently, I think being distracted was good.
DougsJB, PuddleDuck and the Diddy One, along with MightyMouse, WelshMan and Dot.T all headed over to the field at the end of our garden (almost) to play Spike Ball. Elbows and I both joined them briefly but the wind was getting a little unsettled and chilly.
Elbows and I then rushed out early evening without managing to eat, to Prom Praise in the Royal Albert Hall. We’ve been to the RAH a few times before but never to Prom Praise. And what was an added layer to the evening was that Elbows (& I by default) were hosting a box full of Ambassadors. It was a privilege to meet many High Commissioners and I was delighted to be sitting next to Zambia’s Ambassador - which amused me because of our visitors this afternoon. She was a wonderful Christian lady and loved Prom Praise. Some ambassadors were there only because they’d been officially invited but it was a joy to see those that shared the message of Prom Praise - the wonder of God.
It was brilliant. Amazing music. Clear Biblical messages and some astonishing brilliance too. Loved one particular soloist. And the Royal Albert Hall accompanied her voice heavenly.
We grabbed food on the way home and were delighted to arrive. Long day.
