The story so far

So I finally went to get my hearing tested, I have been thinking about this for a while (25 years or so) . If there is something wrong with your eyes you know about it and will sort it. If there is something wrong with your hearing you don't know because every one raises their voices until you can hear, its their problem not yours. What persuaded me was the fact the hearing aids had Bluetooth and I could play music/radio/podcasts straight into my ears. I could also control them via an app on my phone. The appointment lasted 90 minutes and I left with two hearing aids each specifically targeting the hearing loss in each ear. Wonderful.
Everything was rosy until I found my phone did not support hearing aids. The exact same model in the USA does but not in the UK where the facility has, for some reason, been blocked. Irritated.
The only solution was to get a new phone. My daughters were unanimous about what I should get, especially since I want a camera that receives occasional phone calls rather than a phone with a camera attached. A Google Pixel. So I investigate and my current supplier will sell me on for £22 a month. Great
So into the shop to buy the phone, they have it in stock and everything seems fine BUT (big but you notice) the phone costs £22 a month but the SIM card costs another £25 per month. I don't need a SIM card as I have one but there is no option. All phones sold have to have a SIM card, more than doubling the expected cost. Very frustrated.
Further investigation uncovered the fact you can buy directly from Google on interest free credit with no SIM card needed for £22 a month. New phone ordered and very excited. Problem solved.
Phone arrives and I set it up, no problems. Ready to go out the next day taking amazing pictures. Next day dawns and I have terrible hay fever, eyes streaming, nose running, mood appalling so no camera action that day or the next couple. It has been years since I had any hay fever but this time it laid me flat. Finally hay fever clears up only to find I have gained an eye infection that makes me look as if I came a distant second to Mike Tyson. See above re symptoms. Irritated and very bad tempered.
Finally also a week later everything sorted but I seemed to have lost my Blip mojo. In my defense the garden has taken up a lot of time cleaning and clearing and planting and finally sorting the new flower bed.
I still have lots to do but have broken the back of most of it so I am reviving my Blip life, starting by catching up with everyone else.
This is my first published Google pixel 9 effort. During my blip silence there were a lot of flowers to photograph, we visited daughter one in Cheshire and I had yet another birthday so there will be a lot of back blips coming.
If you are still here, well done on your patience, hopefully reading this will help you sleep better tonight if you have not already dropped off.
