It doesn't half put out suckers.
Mine has also grown a bit tall and virtually all the flower bracts are way too high to allow the scent to get to the nostrils.
I think it is time to be cut back......after the flowers have past.

I found a piece of Ebony (I think) the other day so I thought I should start making the replacement counters for H's backgammon set. Not as easy as you would think. The counters are only 25mm diameter and there are 3 different 'rings' each of different widths, depths and sharpness to the curves .... and they all have to be the same - on both sides!
I have done 2 with another 3 to do -- and then one of a lighter colour (harder to match than the black) .... with a different pattern on it.
