Mountain Stream
Blip #11
What a long day!! Woke up at 4 am to travel up to Baxter State Park to hike Mt. Katahdin (Maine's highest peak). By the time we summitted it was pouring rain and the wind was howling...needless to say it was cold. We also couldn't see more than 20 feet in front of us due to the clouds and fog.
Hence the lack of a mountaintop landscape shot I hinted at yesterday. Instead I spent a lot of time capturing shots of water flowing down this brook! The fresh rain brought it to life. This scene is simple, however I was drawn to the multiple levels of "waterfalls" and the fact that it is nicely bordered by boulders. Hope you enjoy!
