Early morning drip
I apologise for the rubbish quality of this photo. It gives you the idea...
This is the Orkney Cheese which I started yesterday evening, as it dripped its final drips this morning, having been hanging there all night.
Now - 10 hours later - it is in a mould in the cheese press for the first of six days. It will be ready to eat in 11 days' time. Needless to say I am looking forward to it.
Today has seen the culmination of the bed swap project and tonight I will be testing the wisdom of the decision. It I wake pain-free tomorrow morning all will be well.
The Soapmaker came round to give me a hand shifting bed slats, frames and mattresses. He even helped me reconstruct the beds, which was kind. And my over-the-road neighbours were on standby in case more pairs of hands were required. What a lovely community.
I have been more active today than all week, and I'm feeling fine. However, I think I'll take it easy tomorrow. I don't want to do too much too quickly.
This week has given me great comfort that I live amongst good people. We don't all get on all the time, but when it's needed there is plenty of kindness and assistance here.
